Dozens of middle school boys from throughout the region will learn about concrete canoes, gel and elastic polymers, and programming circuitry, among other topics, when they participate in Rowan University’s engineering education program Boys’ Engineering, Science & Technology (BEST) on Tuesday, July 17, and Wednesday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University, off Bowe Boulevard in Glassboro.

BEST provides hands-on experience in engineering, science and technology to middle school boys. BEST combines education and fun as the boys work with Rowan engineering and computer science faculty to learn the technical basics in easily identifiable ways, like building bottle rockets.

This program is just one of Rowan's many offerings for K-12 students and educators.
