Dozens of high school students from throughout New Jersey will learn about and/or work on, among other projects, concrete canoes, hydogels and bottle rockets when they participate in Rowan University's Introduction for Students to Engineering (RISE), on Tuesday through Thursday, July 10 - 12, from 7:45/8 a.m. to 4 p.m. primarily in the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering off Bowe Boulevard in Glassboro.

RISE provides an overview of engineering and what engineers do, along with familiarization with Rowan’s engineering majors and a glimpse of college life.

The competitive program, sponsored by PSEG and the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, is just one of Rowan's many offerings for K-12 students and educators.
