Rowan hosts nutrition conference for professionals, students


The Nutrition Program at Rowan University is hosting the first South Jersey Nutrition Symposium on Friday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Chamberlain Student Center on its Glassboro campus.

Presenting on the theme of  Change Drivers and Trends in Nutrition Care are:

Dr. Tracy Oliver, R.D.N., L.D.N. Villanova University
Change drivers for weight management and the challenges for nutrition care of obese individuals

Dr. Adarsh K. Gupta, Director, Center for Medical Weight Loss & Metabolic Control, Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine
Challenges faced in managing obese patients in today’s health

Additionally, an exhibition featuring manufacturers, retailers, organizations and institutions will be held in the morning, and roundtable discussions will be held in the afternoon.
