‘Shooting For Santa’ toy drive to benefit South Jersey children


Through Saturday, Dec. 5, the Rowan University community is collecting toys to benefit local children. The holiday toy drive, which assists Robins’ Nest in Glassboro, concludes during the ‘Shooting for Santa’ Rowan basketball doubleheader on Dec. 5.

Both basketball teams will take on New Jersey City University in Esby Gymnasium, 201 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro. The women’s game begins at 1 p.m. The men’s game begins at 3:30 p.m.

Toys and monetary donations will be accepted as admission to the games.

Additionally, toys can be donated prior to “Shooting for Santa” at any of the following sites on Rowan’s campus:

- SGA Office in the Chamberlain Student Center

- The Wellness Center

- Office of Student Life in Savitz Hall

- Social Justice, Inclusion, and Conflict Resolution Office in Robinson Hall

- The Rec Center

- Rohrer College of Business  in Bunce Hall

- First floor of Campbell Library

- College of Education Dean’s Office in James Hall

- Office of Enrollment in the Enterprise Center on Rowan Boulevard

- Cashier’s desk in Gourmet Dining, Chamberlain Student Center

Leadership Rowan, Student Government Association, Future Business Leaders of America, ProfPack, and Rowan Athletics are sponsoring the toy drive. 

Robins’ Nest is a non-profit children’s services organization.
