Homecoming 2018 drew thousands
Music and footballs filled the air outside Coach Richard Wackar Stadium Saturday, Oct. 20, the biggest day of the week for Homecoming 2018, which this year culminated in an upset win over nationally-ranked Wesley College.
Hosted earlier this month by Rowan’s College of Education and co-sponsored by the College and the New Jersey Department of Education, the Inaugural New Jersey Convening on Diversifying the Teacher Workforce brought together 150 educators in the nation—many of them giants in the field—to address the lack of diversity in teaching ranks in U.S. schools.

The results of a five-year, international multi-center trial studying the efficacy of a "blood purification" technique to treat sepsis has been published this week The Journal of the American Medical Association. A team of engineers and researchers at the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering (HMRCOE) at Rowan University – in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania – discovered a new method to assemble nanoparticles into periodic patterns using cholesteric liquid crystals, resembling the textures of fingerprints, with future plans to potentially design solar cells, batteries or microelectronics.
Rowan will launch Access & Inclusion Week, which this year is themed “Finding Your Voice,” with a welcome program and awards ceremony Monday, Oct. 22.
