The Rowan group, advised by Dr. Diane Penrod, will receive its awards at the national conference in Tulsa, OK, October 1-4.

Rowan?s chapter of Women in Communications was established in 2000 to help young women on campus gain insight into and experience in various fields of communication.

In addition to focusing on academic and professional topics, the members participate in annual events such as the Breast Cancer Walk and Rowan?s Big Event. Last year the group won the award for <+>Rising Student Chapter<+> at the National Women in Communications conference.
