WHAT: will present the Herman and Marie James Award to Cherry Hill’s superintendent of schools, Dr. Morton Sherman, and the principal of the A. Russell Knight Elementary School, Barry Adler,

WHEN: at the district’s board of education meeting on Tuesday, June 13, at 7 p.m.,

WHERE: at the Malberg Administration Building, 45 Ranoldo Terrace, Cherry Hill.

DETAILS: Rowan University is presenting the award to the A. Russell Knight Elementary School for creating an excellent and exciting educational environment. The University selected the school for numerous reasons, including collaborative work among faculty, PTA and the Cherry Hill Municipal Civic Association to address social, cultural and ethnic diversity (integrated instructional units at all grade levels, including literature, writing, social studies, art and other subjects; International Week activities; and developing and implementing a positive student behavior campaign). Rowan is also citing the school for it cooperation in its professional relationship with the University.
