Glassboro - More than 200 South Jersey sixth through ninth-grade
students will get a first-hand look at life at Rowan University at Alpha Phi
Alpha's 20th annual College Day on Wed., April 19. The goal of the
program is to help children better understand what college is and what it
entails. Students should leave knowing what they have to do today in
order to attend college tomorrow.

Opening ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Center with
welcoming remarks from Rowan University?s Associate Provost for
Academic Affairs, Dr. Christy Faison, followed by testimonials given by
the fraternity brothers. Fraternity members will then give the students
tours of campus, including the radio station, library, engineering building,
a residence hall and the Student Recreation Center.

School districts participating this year include: Atlantic City, Millville,
Vineland, Cumberland Regional, Winslow Twp. and Marlton. The school
districts attending were selected, in part, because it is where several of
the fraternity?s brothers attended school during their youth.
