Conference, to be held at Rowan University on Saturday, April 8, will offer
a wealth of sessions for school teachers and others.

Power, and Social Control<+>; <+>Speaking in the K-12 Classroom: An
Interactive Workshop for Teachers, Administrators, and Interested
Others<+>; <+>Bridging Differences Between Academic Communication and
Corporate Communication<+>; and <+>The Internet and Changing
Communication Patterns.<+>

Other sessions will include <+>Teaching Listening in the K-12 Classroom:
Strategies, Techniques, and Assessment<+>; <+>Above the Noise: Research
and Analysis of Popular Music Lyrics<+>; <+>Contemporary Issues and the Mass
Media<+>; and <+>Using Media Technology in the Communication Classroom:
Closing the Gap Between Professors and Students.<+>

The conference is drawing speakers and participants from throughout the state and beyond.
The event begins with registration and continental breakfast from 8 to 8:45 a.m; includes five
sessions, with numerous topic options during each period; and ends with a reception from
5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
