A Rowan University luncheon lecture featuring Jim Florio speaking on <+>The changing South Jersey economy and its impact on higher education<+> on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 11:30 - 1 p.m. Student Center Ballroom, Rowan University, Rt. 322, Glassboro

The luncheon is part of an ongoing series of campus lectures. It is being sponsored by the offices of Civic & Government Relations, Political Science and the Urban & Public Policy Institute. It is free to members of the Rowan community.

Mr. Florio is the former N.J. Governor and is now a partner in the law firm Fischbein, Badillo, Wagner and Harding. He is widely considered an authority on international trade, energy, environmental, health care and transportation issues. He is also a professor for public policy and administration at Rutgers, a member of the Trade and Environment Policy Advisory Committee to the U.S. Trade Representative and serves on the U.S. Secretary of Energy's Advisory Board. Mr. Florio is also the chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York. It is expected that Mr. Florio will run for the soon to be vacant U.S. Senate seat currently held by N.J. Senator Frank Lautenberg.
