The Center for Art & Social Engagement, a new program of the Rowan University Art Gallery, serves as a venue for investigating social issues through arts-based methods and presents its first program with photojournalist Susan Sterner’s exhibition, Estoy por aquí / I am here, on March 14th, 5:00 pm. This exhibition is presented in dialogue with The Sister Chapel, as an historic collaborative feminist installation that anchors programming for The Center for Art & Social Engagement.

WOMEN DEFINING THEMSELVES Examining the Impact of the Artists of SOHO 20 Commemorating the 45th anniversary of SOHO 20, the historically significant women’s cooperative gallery in New York, Rowan University Art Gallery presents Women Defining Themselves: The Original Artists of SOHO 20, an exhibition featuring works by the founding artist-members first shown at the gallery in the 1970s. The exhibit runs from May 4 –July 27.
