Presented as part of the Music Department’s Music of Social Justice series, "Mother Earth & Her People" features the Concert Choir, under the direction of Christopher Thomas, performing Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw’s To the Hands, a work for voices and strings inspired by the unimaginable struggles of homelessness and displacement.

The Ensemble offers the world premiere of a new work by performer & faculty member Denis DiBlasio inspired by the poetry of Maya Angelou.
