The acclaimed Philadelphia baroque orchestra's Chamber Players explore the trove of instrumental fare served up by baroque Venice and Naples, the north and south poles of Italian opera, and perform representative music from the late Renaissance to high baroque. The College of Performing Arts Faculty Spotlight Series presents soprano Marian Stieber in a lecture recital on works for soprano and organ featuring organist David Christopher. The program shares the duo's research and performance experiences of this body of repertoire, its composers and style. The evening includes compositions by Flor Peters, Hugo Wolf- Max Reger, Peter Wesen Auer, Naji Hakim, Camille Saint-Saens, Giacomo Puccini, and Lili Boulanger. Admission is free and open to the public.

Guest artist Oliver Nelson, Jr. joins acclaimed director/performer Denis DiBlasio and the Rowan Jazz Band for a salute to his late father’s groundbreaking work with selections from Nelson’s The Kennedy Dream.
