Part of the “Music of Social Justice” series, the String Ensemble concert features “Dabke” from A Voice Exclaiming by Syrian composer Kareem Roustom as well as Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony, Op. 110a, written in 1960 and dedicated to “the victims of fascism and the war.” Pfleeger Concert Hall is located in Wilson Hall on the university's Glassboro campus. Tickets are $10 (general admission) and $5 (seniors, non-Rowan students, alumni, military). Rowan students, faculty and staff are FREE with valid ID. Advance reservations not required.
