Calling all nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and citizen scientists! Help Rowan’s Facilities team document our landscape’s natural elements so our campus planners, faculty and students can better understand the local biodiversity and improve it, based on the data we gather about the native and invasive species living here.

Meet at Discovery Hall’s TimeSweeps sculpture to receive a specific area of campus to explore. Using the app, iNaturalist, we will scan plants or wild animals and record what we find. Not a nature expert? The iNaturalist community will help identify the species.

The day's activities also will include a walking tour of historic centennial trees and a talk about our environs.

Sponsored by the School of Earth & Environment and the Division of Facilities, Planning & Operations, this event is free and open to the public. Please wear comfortable shoes.
