Under the direction of Denis DiBlasio, the Jazz Band pays tribute to the classic, joyous swing of New Jersey's own Count Basie and his orchestra. Splanky, Lil Darlin, Corner Pocket, Blues in Hoss Flat, and more will be celebrated. If you like jazz, you’ll love Basie. If you don’t know anything about jazz, you’ll love Basie. Basie is the doorway to this great American art form.
A pre-show talk starts at 7:15 pm, immediately followed by the concert at 7:30 pm.
Tickets are $10 and $5. Tickets for Rowan students are free with valid ID.
