Rowan University’s Sports Communication and Media Program (Sports CaM) made the cross-country trip to the site of Super Bowl LX last week for a hands-on event planning experience. Accompanied by professors Alex Yoh and Lindsey Masciangelo, six students from the Sports and Entertainment Event Planning cohort traveled to San Francisco to execute three pre-Super Bowl LX events for nonprofit partners Gridiron Greats and the NFL Alumni Association.

For some, though, those plans involve watching more than the game. In 2024, Ipsos reported that 78% of viewers watch Super Bowl ads, with nearly a quarter watching intently.
