The Rowan University chapter of Engineers Without Borders will host an engineering workshop geared toward children between the ages of six and 12 at the Mullica Hill branch of the Gloucester County Library System on April 15, starting at 4:30 p.m.

Participants to consider topic of crime control versus due process

The Rowan University College of Science and Mathematics will host the next segment in the Dean’s Distinguished Speaker series on April 11, from 1:45 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Boyd Recital Hall, Wilson Hall. The speaker, Dr. Chris Rorres, will discuss the quest for the “Theory of Everything,” which the ancient Greek physicist, mathematician, engineer, inventor and astronomer Archimedes embarked on 23 centuries ago.

Rorres, Drexel University professor emeritus of mathematics and University of Pennsylvania lecturer in epidemiology, touch on the limitations scientists and mathematicians face today in their quest for the theory.


The Rowan University Computer Science Department will host its 28th annual Programming Contest on Friday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Robinson Hall Room 201 at Rowan University.

High school computer programmers from 16 different high schools in New Jersey, Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania looking for an opportunity to compete and show off their programming skills will have a chance to vie for prizes.
