Belarusian linguistics experts research artificial intelligence at Rowan.

The Edelman Planetarium at Rowan University will host the traditional holiday show “Season of Light” Dec. 3 to Dec. 18 on Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. in Science Hall off Rt. 322 on the Glassboro campus.

Dr. Jocelyn Mitchell-Williams, associate dean for Multicultural & Community Affairs for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), will present on “Diversity in Medicine and Engineering: The Need for Continuing Initiatives” as part of the Henry M. Rowan Speaker Series on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 1:45 p.m. in the Rowan Hall auditorium off Bowe Boulevard, Glassboro.

Dianne Ashton, a professor of Religion Studies at Rowan University, is the first female editor in the 118-year history of American Jewish History, the premier journal in the study of Jewish history in America.

Rowan University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy will host an open house on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. and 7:30 in Science Hall. The program will begin with an introduction in the Edelman Planetarium and will include the opportunity to view the night sky through telescopes on the rooftop observation deck.The program is free.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.###

African history scholar Cheikh Anta Babou of the University of Pennsylvania will speak at Rowan University on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 12:15 p.m. as a part of the Dean's Distinguished Speakers Series presented by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
