In the Marketplace, the buffet-style dining hall on Rowan’s main campus, students, faculty and staff may now feast on freshly made sushi and hand-thrown, New York-style pizza, daily specials like duck or pork belly, even kosher, halal and allergen friendly foods.

Amid a slew of administrative actions Wednesday, Rowan University's board of trustees granted the dean of its engineering school a number of requests that will keep him busy this year: a new doctoral program, an undergraduate major in engineering entrepreneurship, an undergraduate minor in civil engineering, and the renovation of its Rowan Hall engineering building.

Rowan University is well on its way to realizing its goal of conducting $100 million in sponsored research by 2023, posting an increase in funded projects in 2013-14 of nearly 500 percent compared to 2011-12. Rowan tallied approximately $5 million in sponsored research in 2011, compared to close to $30 million in 2014.
By Jonathan Lai, Inquirer Staff Writer. Rowan University will offer certain applicants this year the option of submitting an additional essay in lieu of SAT or ACT scores, joining a slew of schools that have eliminated or reduced standardized-test requirements for admission.
The Regional Universities – North category includes 181 colleges and universities whose degree programs focus on the undergraduate and master’s levels with some doctoral options.
