Director of Student Activities Constantine Alexakos was the first professional staff member elected by Rowan to deliver the University's "Last Lecture." He didn't disappoint.
The Minions – the pint sized, spirited yellow helpers from Disney’s “Despicable Me” – will take over the third floor of James Hall as Rowan University’s Kappa Delta Pi, the education honor society, hosts its 6th annual pajama party on Friday, Dec. 4.
Rowan University will offer a three-year, year-round degree pathway for students beginning in Fall 2016. The program is designed to allow students to earn free summer tuition, fees and housing if they have met their academic requirements in the previous fall and spring semesters. It also provides students with on-campus leadership internships and/or research opportunities, and academic support programs throughout students’ three years.
A panel of distinguished judges last week wrapped up the latest phase of the AT&T Civic App Challenge-New Jersey by judging the finalists for the two-month virtual hackathon that AT&T launched in September with the NJ Tech Council and several other organizations across the Garden State. The challenge offered New Jersey’s coders, students, artists, thinkers, makers and entrepreneurs the chance to develop mobile applications that meet a community need. As part of this challenge, special consideration was given to apps that help military veterans and their families.
Constantine Alexakos will deliver Rowan University’s hypothetical “Last Lecture” on Tuesday, Dec. 1. It also will be his first lecture.
For the second straight year, Rowan University’s Student Government Association will host Holiday Week, a chance for the University community to join together to celebrate the holiday season, Monday, Nov. 30-Saturday, Dec. 5.
Through Saturday, Dec. 5, the Rowan University community is collecting toys to benefit local children.
