PROFtoberfest, Rowan's largest Homecoming celebration ever, resembled a giant family reunion as an estimated 3,000 people—alumni, students, faculty and staff—came together on campus. More than 1,600 alumni officially pre-registered for the whirlwind weekend.

So, you love to write and think maybe, just maybe, you could be the next John Green, Suzanne Collins, or Stephen King.

The accolades just keep on coming for Rowan’s department of Radio, Television & Film (RTF) and the latest are seven shiny Emmy awards for RTF alumni.

For five full decades, Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM has prided itself on playing the music that matters.

But, music isn’t all that matters.

It’s time for PROFtoberfest! This year’s Homecoming celebration has a German theme as the University offers a host of events designed to connect the Rowan community with alumni, students and the Glassboro community.
Associate Professor Maria Simone, and her husband, John Jenkins, of Absecon, will compete in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, Oct. 11. Simone is using the race as a platform to raise money for pancreatic cancer research in tribute to her mother, who died from the disease in 2012.

On Sept. 19 the White House put the power of the presidency behind an issue that’s affecting students all over America – sexual assault on campus.

Family enjoying Family Weekend at Rowan

Julie Peterson doesn’t just feel love for Rowan University. She exudes it. And she wants every family member of a Rowan student to exude it, too.

From the moment they walk onto campus, the more than 2,400 members of the largest freshman class in Rowan University history will hit the ground running. That’s by design.
