At Rowan University, engineering education never stays still for long. And with $25,000 of funding from local sponsor Lockheed Martin, it’s now more mobile than ever.

For just $75 — roughly the cost of 240 half-liter bottles of Poland Spring bottled water — a family in El Salvador, Central America, can consume clean H2O for years.

The Rowan University Board of Trustees has appointed three area professionals and one student representative to the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University Board of Directors for three-year and one-year terms, respectively.

They’ve been suite mates, classmates, study partners and officers of the Newman Club (Catholic Campus Ministry) at Rowan University.

Dr. Jocelyn Mitchell-Williams, associate dean for Multicultural & Community Affairs for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), will present on “Diversity in Medicine and Engineering: The Need for Continuing Initiatives” as part of the Henry M. Rowan Speaker Series on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 1:45 p.m. in the Rowan Hall auditorium off Bowe Boulevard, Glassboro.

Dr. Jess Everett and his students in the College of Engineering at Rowan University are used to attracting attention for their technology triumphs.

Engineers on Wheels is now more mobile than ever. The Rowan University educational outreach organization received $25,000 in funding from Lockheed Martin to purchase a new van.

Representatives of AT&T will present a donation of $50,000 to fund the Rowan University Cave Automatic Virtual Environment, known as a CAVE®, on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University, off Rt. 322 near Rt. 55 in Mantua Township.

Dr. Stephanie Farrell doesn’t speak Russian, but the Rowan University chemical engineering professor does speak engineering and education quite well, thank you.

The Board of Directors of the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University will meet on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Samuel H. Jones Innovation Center on the Tech Park Campus, off Rt. 322 at the Rt. 55 interchange in Mantua Township.
