Medical students from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University spent MLK Day mentoring youth and young adults from Camden and beyond on health, exercise and nutrition while empowering them to be "wellness leaders" in their communities.

The Rowan University Foundation Board has named Paul Tully, registered principal, CFP of Eagle Wealth Strategies as chair for a first term. A resident of Wenonah, Tully has been a member of the Board since 2007 and has served on the executive committee since 2008.

On Saturday, March 23, the University’s College of Humanities & Social Sciences (CHSS) will host “A Voyage with Marvin Creamer,” an event that will raise scholarship funds for deserving Rowan students and celebrate the epic voyage around the world by Creamer 30 years ago.

Limited tickets still are available for Rowan University’s 27th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. in the Eynon Ballroom, located in the Chamberlain Student Center on the University’s Glassboro campus. Actor and activist Danny Glover will be the keynote speaker.

Rowan University recently dedicated the Dr. Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for Alumni Engagement in Shpeen Hall, off the main campus in Glassboro, honoring the alumna who in part funded the room with a $150,000 contribution.
