The official uniform of many college students—jeans, flip-flops, sweats—won’t pass muster in the boardroom. It won’t even get you into the boardroom, says Ruben Britt, assistant director of Rowan University’s Career Management Center (CMC).

Prospective students will have the chance to learn more about Rowan University during open houses on Oct. 28 and Nov. 11.

The focus will be on ability—rather than disability—as Rowan University’s Academic Success Center and Disability Resources mark Disability Awareness Week from Oct. 15-18.

Social worker Dan Cohen and filmmaker Michael Rossato-Bennett will present "Alive Inside: The Story of Music and Memory" at Rowan on Oct. 15.

Forty high school students from the five-county area will gain knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)—and hone their leadership and college preparatory skills—during Rowan University's second annual Aim High Science and Technology Academy, which runs July 8-August 3.

Tuition and fees for students at Rowan University will increase by 3 percent under a $285.5 million fiscal year 2013 budget approved by the University's Board of Trustees earlier this month.
