A host of events are planned to mark Black History Month at Rowan University.

This holiday season, faculty, staff and students at Rowan University at Camden are collecting new and gently used coats for children in Camden's Cooper Lanning neighborhood.

Rowan University Vice President of Facilities and Operations Mike Harris was the top money raiser in Gloucester County’s Dancing with the Stars, earning $43,766 for the Rowan Emergency Scholarship Fund. Rowan’s Intensive English Language Program helps students learn English and succeed in America.

The Rowan University Board of Trustees has elected attorney James J. Gruccio Sr., of Vineland, as chairman.

For the 12th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Rowan University among the best institutions of higher learning in the nation.

Approximately 1,400 freshmen are expected to move into eight residence halls and five apartments on Saturday, Sept. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rowan University, 201 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro, N.J.  

The tremor felt on campus this afternoon, Tuesday, Aug. 23, was a shockwave from an earthquake in Virginia.

Rowan University students, faculty and staff members are working with local agencies and businesses to help give Camden schoolchildren a successful start to the new school year.

The Rowan University Board of Trustees has named Dr. Ali Houshmand interim president of the University effective July 1.
