About two dozen middle school boys from throughout the region each day will learn to build bridges and bottle rockets and robotic arms, among many other opportunities, when they participate in Rowan University’s engineering education program Boys’ Engineering, Science & Technology (BEST) from Tuesday, July 19, through Thursday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rowan Hall, the College of Engineering building off Bowe Boulevard in Glassboro.

Rowan University has appointed Amy Barraclough as the director of the Fredric and Jean Edelman Planetarium in Science Hall. She replaces founding director Keith Johnson, who retired after 12 years at Rowan.

The fall lecture series in Rowan's Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies will now be known as the Dr. Paul B. Winkler Lecture Series. Winkler served as executive director of the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust/Genocide Education for 42 years before his passing on July 12.
