With a swift kick of a soccer ball by President Ali A. Houshmand, Rowan University will officially open its new, $4.6 million athletic practice facility on Rowan’s West Campus on Wednesday, August 26, at 10 a.m.

Many cheers – and a few proud tears – could be found at the Special Olympics USA Games at Mercer County Park as a team of Rowan Unified soccer players won its first-ever gold medal. The team comprised of three Rowan students, one alumnus and six Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) athletes defeated Illinois 3-0 on June 20 to win the Special Olympics Unified Soccer gold for Team New Jersey.

In 2nd Annual Zombie Run, zombies chase survivors and both have a chance to win!
In a great weekend for Rowan sports May 3-4, the baseball and softball teams locked up their New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship tournaments and the men’s and women’s track and field teams both finished second in the NJAC.
Sophomore Andrew Dougherty will spend his winter break in Europe as a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Select Team. He's the first Rowan player to acheive the honor.
The Rowan football team plays at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. (EST) in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
