Rowan Engineering extends deadline for select summer middle school programs
The Rowan University College of Engineering has extended its deadlines to May 30 for two of its most popular summer programs for middle school students: the Boy’s Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) workshop and the Attracting Women into Engineering (AWE) program.
These non-residential programs introduce students to the field of engineering through hands-on workshops and clinics and provide opportunities for participants to learn from professors and current Rowan engineering students, among others.
The one-day BEST workshop is open to rising seventh and eighth grade boys and will be held on July 15 and 16. The cost of the program is $30 and includes a pizza lunch. To apply, visit http://www.rowan.edu/best. Seats are limited to 50 students.
The one-day AWE program is entering its 16th year and has been sponsored by PSEG for the last three years. The program is designed for rising seventh and eighth grade girls and will be held on July 22 and 23. The cost of the program is $30 and includes a pizza lunch. Applications are available online at http://www.rowan.edu/awe. Seats are limited to 50 students.
