Rowan University College of Engineering accepting applications for summer 2014 programs

The Rowan University College of Engineering is now accepting registrations for summer 2014 programs for middle and high school students. These non-residential programs introduce students to the field of engineering through hands-on workshops and clinics and provide opportunities for participants to learn from professors and current Rowan engineering students, among others.

The Rowan University College of Engineering is now accepting registrations for summer 2014 programs for middle and high school students. These non-residential programs introduce students to the field of engineering through hands-on workshops and clinics and provide opportunities for participants to learn from professors and current Rowan engineering students, among others.
 
Rowan’s Introduction for Students to Engineering (RISE) program, sponsored by PSEG, is open to current high school students. The three-day RISE program will take place from July 8 to 10 and includes industrial tours. The cost of the program is $250 and includes lunch each day. RISE does not provide overnight accommodations. Applications are due May 16 and are available online at http://www.rowan.edu/rise. Seats are limited to 50 students.
 
The one-day Boy’s Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) Workshop is open to rising seventh and eighth grade boys and will be held on July 15 and 16. The cost of the program is $30 and includes a pizza lunch. Applications are due May 16. To apply, visit http://www.rowan.edu/best. Seats are limited to 50 students.
 
The one-day Attracting Women into Engineering (AWE) program is entering its 16th year and has been sponsored by PSEG for the last three years. The program is designed for rising seventh and eighth grade girls and will be held on July 22 and 23. The cost of the program is $30 and includes a pizza lunch. Applications are due May 16 and are available online at http://www.rowan.edu/awe. Seats are limited to 50 students.
