Middle school students will compete in Rowan's FIRST LEGO League competition

Rowan University will host the Seventh Annual FIRST LEGO League Competition on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  in the Chamberlain Student Center, Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ). Students from throughout New Jersey will build LEGO-based robots to tackle real engineering challenges.

Rowan University will host the Seventh Annual FIRST LEGO League Competition on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  in the Chamberlain Student Center, Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ). Students from throughout New Jersey will build LEGO-based robots to tackle real engineering challenges.

Sponsored by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), the event teaches critical thinking, presentation and math and science skills.

Co-chaired by Dr. Jennifer Kay, Computer Science Department, and Dr. Hong Zhang, Mechanical Engineering, the event allows students to explore engineering and technology and consider studying and pursuing careers in those fields.
