NBC10 to present live broadcast of Booker/Lonegan debate at Rowan
NBC10 and its affiliates will broadcast the second U.S. Senate candidate debate between Cory Booker and Steve Lonegan on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Rowan University in Glassboro.
Sponsored by Rowan, NBC10 and The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com, the debate begins at 7 p.m. in Pfleeger Concert Hall. It will be televised live throughout New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia and New York City metro areas on NBC10 Philadelphia / WCAU, NBC 4 New York / WNBC, the Comcast Network and Telemundo Philadelphia / WWSI. The debate also will be streamed live on Philly.com.
The program also will be available through XFINITY On Demand and will be rebroadcast on Telemundo Nueva York / WNJU on a date to be determined.
The debate will be moderated by NBC10 Philadelphia anchor Jim Rosenfield, with a panel that will include NBC 4 New York anchor David Ushery and Philadelphia Inquirer Washington Correspondent Jonathan Tamari.
Booker and Lonegan are vying for the seat vacated by the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg. A special election for the seat, which runs until Jan. 3, 2015, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16.
