At-ten-tion! Rowan's Rohrer College of Business hosts Business Boot Camp
Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business will hold its inaugural Business Boot Camp for county college students from Monday, June 24, to Friday, June 28, on the University’s Glassboro campus.
The Boot Camp will introduce students to a wide range of business disciplines, including entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, operations, accounting and management information systems. Sessions also will include an introduction to many soft skills, such as business communication and business dining etiquette.
“The Rohrer College of Business is committed to working with the community at all levels, including students in K-12 and county colleges,” said Dr. Robert Beatty, dean. “Our Boot Camp will introduce county college students to the fundamentals they will need to be successful in a university’s business program and start preparing them for their professions.”
Participants must be full-time students at Burlington, Camden, Cumberland or Gloucester county colleges with at least 30 credits upon competition of their first year of school and a 2.5 GPA.
All students accepted for the competitive Boot Camp will earn a $1,000 scholarship toward attending the Rohrer College of Business as well as a certificate of completion and assorted Boot Camp memorabilia.
County college students applied for the Boot Camp through their respective colleges, which selected seven attendees each. For more information, visit rowan.edu/business/cie/bootcamp.
