Rowan welcomes students with week of activities
Rowan University will host a series of activities for incoming 1,400-plus freshmen during the week of Sept. 4, both at Rowan University, 201 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro, N.J. and off campus.
The activities are designed to engage the freshmen early, to acquaint themselves with each other, faculty and staff and the community at large as the first step in helping them not only succeed during their first year of school but also lay the groundwork for them to graduate.
This year, Welcome Week activities include:
Sunday, Sept. 4
1 – 2 p.m. Wellness to Last a Lifetime (Eynon Ballroom, Student Center)
11:30 p.m. – 2 a.m. Midnight Wal-Mart Shuttle (Pick up from Student Center Half-Circle)
Monday, Sept. 5
7:30 – 9 p.m. SCVNGR interactive scavenger hunt (Chamberlain Student Center Pit)
9 p.m. – 1 a.m. Bowling Night (Shuttles from Student Rec Center)
Tuesday, Sept 6
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Welcome Back Bash (Student Center back patio, tons of activities, rides, DJ and food)
