Rowan hosts fifth annual Science Day for high school students

Rowan faculty members and students will host the fifth annual Science Day for more than 100 local high school students on Friday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  in Science Hall and Robinson Hall on Rowan’s Glassboro, N.J. campus, 201 Mullica Hill Road.

Rowan faculty members and students will host the fifth annual Science Day for more than 100 local high school students on Friday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  in Science Hall and Robinson Hall on Rowan’s Glassboro, N.J. campus, 201 Mullica Hill Road. 

Through hands-on experiments and demonstrations, Rowan faculty members will give high school students a peek at opportunities available to them at the college level and beyond. Science Day aims to increase student interest in math and science education and careers.

Faculty members from Rowan’s Biological Sciences, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics & Astronomy departments host the day of workshops, demonstrations and seminars for high school students from the region. Participating high schools include Buena Vista, Cherry Hill West, Clearview, Deptford, Glassboro, Gloucester County Institute of Technology, Millville, Our Lady of Mercy Academy and Pitman.
