Alumnus offers tips on paying for college
Even in a tough economy, alumnus Scott Kramer says you can still pay for college--and land that dream job.
In his book, How to Pay for College with Money Left to Retire (Tate Publishing & Enterprises), Kramer says paying for college takes persistence, planning and pluck.
Kramer, a Chalfont, Pa. resident who earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Rowan in 1986, wrote his book to help all families navigate the complexities of paying for college. The book includes information relevant to students and parents and includes a section especially for students that details why college is important. The book also includes a section that offers tips for first-year students.
Another book by Kramer on landing and keeping a job in a down economy also is in the works.
An executive with Project Transition, a Pennsylvania-based organization that assists people with serious mental illnesses, Kramer formerly hosted "Job Watch," a show on Greater Media Cable that focused on people and their jobs. He also holds Senior Professional in Human Resources certification.
