In addition to being more environmentally friendly than traditional light bulbs, the new compact fluorescent bulbs are expected to save the University $26,000 a year and close to $140,000 over their lifetime.

The new bulbs are part of Rowan’s ongoing green initiatives, which have earned the school 11 regional and national awards since 2006.
