The Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey (EFSNJ) is offering a series of programs aimed at updating local business people on social networking and related ways to communicate with existing customers and attract new ones.

The Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey (EFSNJ) is offering a series of programs aimed at updating local business people on social networking and related ways to communicate with existing customers and attract new ones.

“Social networking is becoming more and more critical for small-business owners and other professionals to market their products and services,” said Sarah Piddington, interim director of the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University. “The Entrepreneurs Forum is able to bring together some outstanding local experts to help members of the regional business community get a better grasp on the topics.”

The sessions are:

Using Facebook to Market Your Business

October 20, 2010, 8 a.m.

Speaker: Jennifer Regina, owner of The Marketing of Everything and adjunct professor in the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University. Regina will discuss strategies of using Facebook, the benefits that come from social media and companies that use Facebook and how it has affected them.

 

How to Network on Linked In

November 17, 2010, 8 a.m.

Speaker: Howard Yermish of HowardYermish.com. He will address different networking techniques that can be used to enhance business opportunities through Linked In.

 

New Social Media Business Tools

December 15, 2010, 8 a.m.

Speaker: Jennifer Regina. She will touch on improving business strategies through the use of new social media tools.

 

Social Media Policy and Security

January 19, 2011, 8 a.m.

Speakers: Mark Sever of Archer & Greiner and Anthony Mongeluzo of ProComputer Service. They will address the creation of social media policies for businesses along with correct techniques to ensure security.

These events all are free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, visit http://www.efsnj.org/register.  Programs are tentatively scheduled at the South Jersey Technology Park, intersection of Rt. 55 and Rt. 322, Mantua Township.
