Astronomy, in several forms, is a thriving enterprise at Rowan University. Public planetarium shows, astronomy classes, school field trips, public star parties, and research into mysteries of the cosmos: they’re all sponsored by the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Edelman Planetarium at Rowan.

A new public multimedia show, “The Rowan Universe,” portrays all of these and more, offering a view of the Universe to the audience.

The show plays on Saturday nights at 7 p.m. from Sept. 25 through Nov. 20. Admission fees are $5 for adults, $3 for children younger than 13, $3 for seniors older than 60 and $3 for Rowan students with ID. This show is suitable for ages 8 and above. The planetarium is located on the ground floor of Science Hall.

Also premiering in Edelman Planetarium is “Laser Michael Jackson,” a brand-new laser light show playing at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday nights after the star show. Each show requires a separate ticket.
