The Rowan University Astronomical Observatory and the Edelman Planetarium will hosts their first Rowan Astronomy Day on Saturday, March 6, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in Science Hall on the Glassboro campus.

The theme will be “the Sun,” and the event will include presentations in the Edelman Planetarium on topics such as the Sun’s motion in the sky, solar eclipses, solar activity and sunspots.  If weather permits, visitors will be able to use telescopes to safely view the Sun and Venus. The event is free and open to the public.
