Rowan to hold first intellectual property summit

Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business (COB) and the COB’s Business Incubator, in collaboration with KEH Insurance Agency, of Cherry Hill, will host their first annual Intellectual Property Summit on Monday, November 2, from 1 to 7 p.m. in the Enyon Ballroom of Rowan’s Chamberlain Student Center, Rt. 322, Glassboro.

Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business (COB) and the COB’s Business Incubator, in collaboration with KEH Insurance Agency, of Cherry Hill, will host their first annual Intellectual Property Summit on Monday, November 2, from 1 to 7 p.m. in the Enyon Ballroom of Rowan’s Chamberlain Student Center, Rt. 322, Glassboro.
 
The Intellectual Property (IP) Summit was created to stimulate the development and protection of intellectual properties among technology companies in the Delaware Valley. Panels of leading experts in the region will cover topics from licensing to monetization to using IP as a competitive advantage.  The sessions will focus on using IP effectively in the marketplace against competitors as well as on domestic and foreign patent prosecution strategy and IP Litigation.
 
More than 200 attendees are expected to attend the conference and the networking event immediately following.  Technology companies at all levels are expected to attend, including researchers developing IP and start-up companies, particularly from regional incubators.
 
The keynote speaker will be Vincent Schiavone, a serial entrepreneur and investor with more than 20 years of experience in technology, internet commerce, privacy, security and health care. Schiavone currently is the principal at Prioritus, of Berwyn, Pa., a private equity consulting group that starts, funds, grows and advises companies.
 
Panelists are expected from major regional firms, including Archer & Greiner, Volpe & Koenig, Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, PRICE Systems, Kreischer Miller, Argyce, Fesnak & Associates, Edgelink and Intellectual Property Insurance Services Corporation. 
 
Conference sessions will include: Leveraging Intellectual Property to Grow Your Business, Developing Intellectual Property Strategy to Meet Your Company’s Needs, Monetization of Intellectual Property and Using Intellectual Property as Financial Tools.
