Author Paul Pasles to discuss Benjamin Franklin?s interest in numbers

Villanova University associate professor Paul Pasles will present “Benjamin Franklin’s Numbers,” on Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m. in Robinson Hall Room 201A, on Rowan University’s Glassboro campus.

Villanova University associate professor Paul Pasles will present “Benjamin Franklin’s Numbers,” on Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m. in Robinson Hall Room 201A, on Rowan University’s Glassboro campus.

Pasles’ talk will reveal new information on the famous inventor, writer, and founding father. He will explain Franklin’s Sudoku-like hobbies and some of his more serious thinking about numbers.

The presentation is a result of seven years of research Pasles conducted for his first book by the same title. He has taught mathematical sciences at Villanova since 1999, and in 2006 was named one of the “300 Modern Day Franklins.”
