Author and historian Christopher Waldrep to speak at Rowan

Christopher Waldrep, professor of history at San Francisco State University, will speak on Thursday, April 10, at 3 p.m. at the Rowan University bookstore, at the Winans Building on the Glassboro campus.

Christopher Waldrep, professor of history at San Francisco State University, will speak on Thursday, April 10, at 3 p.m. at the Rowan University bookstore, at the Winans Building on the Glassboro campus.

Waldrep will discuss his most recent book, Vickburg’s Long Shadow: The Civil War Legacy of Race and Remembrance. He will sign copies of his book following the talk.

An award-winning author, Waldrep has written numerous books on topics including constitutional law, rhetoric and historical causation, historical memory, and violence in American history. His visit to Rowan is sponsored by the department of history, Phi Alpha Theta, and the Student History Association.
