Throughout the month of April, Rowan University will highlight the political, social history and heritage of Asian-Pacific culture during its annual Asian-Pacific Month celebration. Asian-Pacific Month at Rowan will feature a wide array of activities, including those listed below. April 9 -
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival and Dim Sum Trip

Location: Student Center bus departure and return

April 10 -
11 a.m. to noon - "American-Born Asians and Asian Immigrants: Differences in Cultural Perspective" - panel discussion with members of the Asian Cultural Association
Location: Bunce Hall, Room 107

April 12 -
8 p.m. - Rowan Wind Ensemble, "Three Japanese Dances"
Location: Pfleeger Concert Hall

3:15 to 4:30 p.m. - "Bike Ride to Tibet; Cultural Experiences in China" - lecture by Southeast China Professor Betty Dai

3 to 6 p.m. - Asian Extravaganza - an afternoon of entertainment with Korean, Indian, Chinese and Japanese dances and folk songs

11 a.m. to noon - "Ying-Yang and the Chinese Tradition of Medical Healing" - lecture by
Dr. Chun Lang Su of the Philadelphia Oriental Healing Center

9 p.m. - Asian Festival - a night of activities including an Asian fashion show and cultural dancing
