Rowan University Computer Science Professor Dr. Adrian Rusu, of Pitman, earned the designation of New Faculty Fellow at the 2005 American Society for Engineering Education/ Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Frontiers in Education Conference (FIE).

Rusu's selection was based on, among other things, his paper "Pioneering Entrepreneurial Software Engineers," which comprised a successful approach for teaching software engineering.

"FIE is one of the most important conferences on science and engineering education," said Rusu, a native of Romania. "They only offer this award to 10 participants every year. "This award is very prestigious for faculty at the beginning of their careers, like me." Rusu is the first Rowan professor to win the award.
