Rowan University?s Board of Trustees appointed two new members ? James Kehoe of Berlin and Helene M. Reed of Williamstown ? at its February 19 meeting.

James Kehoe, a lifelong Camden County resident, is the business manager for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 322 in Winslow. He currently serves on the boards of the Camden County United Way and Union Organization of Social Services, and is a trustee for Ocean City Tabernacle. He also holds various offices for Camden County, including commissioner and vice chairman of the Camden County Improvement Authority, vice president of the South Jersey AFL-CIO and secretary of the United Building Trades Council of Camden County and Vicinity. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Business Administration and participated in the Local Union 322 apprenticeship program. He has done work for many charitable organizations, such as Dollars Against Diabetes, the American Paralysis Society and the American Diabetes Association.

Helene M. Reed worked at Kennedy Memorial Hospital for 24 years and served as director of admissions. She was the first female councilperson in Monroe Township and was elected council president in 1993, 1997 and 1998. She currently serves in the Gloucester County Freeholder Board. She attended Rutgers University and earned a certificate in Hospital Administration. She is the second vice president of the New Jersey Association of Counties and serves on the organization?s Health Steering Committee. She also is a member of the Williamstown Women?s Club and Monroe Township Democrat Club.
