The College of Engineering at Rowan University will host a variety of activities for engineering students and professors to mark National Engineers Week Monday through Friday, February 17 - 21, 2003
at various locations throughout the University.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday, February 17

Sports Day - Volleyball at the Recreation Center (4 to 6 p.m.)
Faculty and student teams compete

Tuesday, February 18

Student Professional Awareness Conferences starting at 12:30 in Rowan Hall.

Thursday, February 20

The South Jersey Technical Career Fair will be held in the Student Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Employers from the South Jersey region will be there to distribute information about their companies and network. Students from the University's technical majors will be invited to discuss opportunities with future employers. The fair is specifically designed to cater to the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering (chemical, civil, environmental, electrical and computer, and mechanical), management information systems, mathematics and physics.

Friday, February 21

Order of the Engineer - Induction Ceremony starting at 3:30 p.m. in Rowan Hall.

Order of the Engineer is an organization that bridges the gap between training and practice in the field of engineering. Membership is offered to graduates or seniors who are within two terms of graduating from colleges with a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, registered professional engineers and special engineers who are deemed worthy of the honor by education, eminence or experience.
