Rowan University senior Natalie Neczypor was named national president of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) for the 2002-2003 academic year during the organization?s National Assembly last month in San Diego. Neczypor, who was one of 25 candidates for the presidency, currently serves as vice president of regional activities for the society.

A Mt. Laurel resident, Neczypor is a dual major at Rowan, studying both communications with a specialization in public relations and business with a specialization in management information systems. She is also active in the Rowan chapter of PRSSA and WGLS-FM Rowan Radio

Neczypor?s platform included a three-year plan that will serve as the basis for improving PRSSA?s marketability and its relationship with its parent organization, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

PRSSA is the world?s preeminent, pre-professional public relations organization. Founded in 1968 by its parent society, PRSA, the organization has grown to include 226 chapters in 43 states and the District of Columbia. It currently has more than 7,000 members.
