Glassboro -? When students enter the Law and Justice Department, they often come in contact with the department secretary, Peg Brown. And, while these students know Brown is a friendly, helpful member of the department, they may not know that she co-authored one of the textbooks they will use in their internship course.
Brown, a Clayton resident, recently co-authored <+>Criminal Justice Internship Manual<+> with Stanley Yeldell, Law and Justice. The text currently is being used at Rowan, has been adopted at another college and is being reviewed for adoption at other colleges and universities as well.
Brown, who graduated from the University and earned her teacher certification in Special Education, has worked on campus for 15 years. She currently is enrolled in the Student Personnel Services master?s program at Rowan, which is part of the reason she became involved with the textbook. <+>I plan on going into advising,<+> said Brown, <+>and this is an area that an advisor would use within this department.<+>
Brown will earn her degree within the next two to three years. This spring she will begin writing another law and justice book with Yeldell titled <+>Criminal Justice Career Opportunities.<+>
