The Glassboro State-Rowan University Alumni Association and the Rowan University Foundation are sponsoring the 13th Annual Rowan University Golf Tournament at the Centerton Golf Club, Centerton, on Thursday, June 7, with shotgun starting times at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Collard and Harris Scholarship Funds.
Golfers may register as an individual or as a foursome. The 8 a.m. shotgun start is followed by a lunch, and the 1 p.m. shotgun start is followed by an awards dinner. Golfers may win prizes at the 7th hole for being closest to the pin and the 18th hole for the longest drive. The prize for a hole-in-one at the 17th hole is a 2001 Buick, courtesy of Eakins-Groff Pontiac/Buick/GMC, Penns Grove. There also will be hole-in-one prizes for par 3s.
Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the scholarships named for Robert Collard, classes of 1966 and 1968, former associate vice president for administration, and Bob Harris classes of 1961 and 1974, former director of civic and governmental relations.
